Fuel pump/electrics question

Hi all, I've just extended the mount of my in tank injection pump so that it fits my tank. In doing so I managed to nick one of the wires (doh) exposing the cable. Is there anything I can seal it with or can it be left - the metal terminals are exposed where the wires clip on to the pump after all! Does fuel conduct electricity? (Don't want to be the one to test this!!!!)

Thanks

JC

cover all terminals and tape up the wire the problem isnt fuel conducting electricity it the fumes and the potential spark, I wouldnt want to drop any thing metallic across terminals etc

Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

The terminals are as they came out of the donor car! What tape should I use to be fuel (fool?) proof?

Might be a good idea to get hold of some heat-shrink insulation and make sure all exposed cabe and bare terminals are covered.

Jon
