Ecu location

In payment for modding the sump on a blacktop and making the idler/engine mounts,
i have been given a 2.0 blacktop from a mondeo with the ecu, loom, keys, etc.
Can anyone point me to the location of the ecu under the dash,to save digging around in the wrong place.

Is there anything else that i need to make sure that i take from the donor before it gets scrapped?

Cheers,

Andy

On a mondeo its just above your toes

Lift Bonnet and pull power steering res to one side.

Drill two rivetts out of the anti tamper steel cage.

Undo 10mm bold that holds plug to ecu.

Two 10mm bolts on mounding plate.

One 10mm bolt on the bottom bracket from under the dash.

Pull out

You want the aerial from around the ignition switch Its differant to a silver top and its plug. Whilst there you want the obd2 plug and as much cable as you can free.

Back to the engine bay.

One 10mm bolt seperates the engine from the car loom on the Ns inner wing. And the loom goes around the back of the engine.

He wont need Maf or Lambda sensors so grab them aswell.

Simples, then comes the wrring

The whole loom is handy if your going to trace it all back but you only really need the engine loom.

Andy, is it an auto, believe the ecu is very different and not much use to us...

Cheers

As Rich says an auto is bugger all use I just assumed its a manual.

Yep diag' plug is in the trim panel above your feet. Its meant to be in reach of the drivers seat in all cars.

Does this mean yo have seen the light of OEM injection
