Tacho not working

Hi guys,

My tacho has 4 spade connectors on it, 2 labelled as '+' and 2 labelled as '-'.

I hooked up 1 to the positive feed from the battery, and the other to the negative terminal on the coil.

It does move a small amount when running but never gets above 1000rpm.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Andy

I think 1+ & 1- will be from the coil the other + and - from the battery, the Tacho sensing the make and break of the coil
