Is there an alternative to the conventional float on an arm type fuel sender?
I have been trying to get a conventional fuel sender to work in my tank but being baffled and foam filled i am having trouble. I was wondering if
there was a vertical type of sender? I have had a search but cant find anything?

Dont think that would work
What you want is the vdo dip tube sender type as all the gubbins are inside the tube, not on the outside

You can get capacitance based sensors with no moving parts, but no idea of
cost.

thanks guys, thats the sort of thing i mean. How does the dip tube work? the pictures dont explain it very well and i cant see any wires. Does it
have terminals on top? Also, i need it to work with a Koso digital speedo. Just been looking at the Koso and it sayd the fuel level reading is
100ohm/510 ohm, so i assume this wont work?
Edited, just seen that the VDO dip tubes seem to be 0 - 90 ohm, is there any way of making it work with a Koso?

Fuel Gauge Wizards from Spiyda

Its an old post, but we have had several folks from here enquire about the Wizards, just to clarify. We do two different devices like this..
the Fuel Gauge
Wizard, as above, which will match pretty much any resistive sender with any gauge.
and the Fuel Gauge
Wizard 500 which matches pretty much any resistive sender with any 500 Ohm gauge or gauge that can be set to 500 Ohms -- this is
much easier to set up than the one linked to and I would recommend it to anyone with a KOSO gauge.
They are the same price but there is a big difference in ease of setting up !
