Will any Ford ECU work OK?
Hi, all...
Just can't seem to get a straight answer to this question, so any help appreciated...
I'm getting a new 2 litre Zetec blacktop & want to run the standard Ford ECU. Will any ECU from an old 2 litre blacktop run it OK, or are
there significant differences? If, so, which is the best one to get?
On-topic replies only, please.
Thanks

So long as its an ECU from an engine of the same type and capacity, then the answer should be yes. But the closer you can get to the engine donor age
and spec then the better.

Im sure you need the ecu from the year of the engine, and yes the auto is different.
