25W resistors. Where from?
I'm trying to kill some noise in my system and I need to buy 4 <10ohm 25W resistors. RS want £6 p+p, Farnell £12! I'd rather not wait
n weeks for them to come from China via eBay. Maplin don't seem to do them in that wattage. Is there anyone in/around London/Hertfordshire
that would sell them over the counter?
Regards,
Dave

Farnells have something like a £25 min order
there's cpc which is farnell but they only want £1.31 each - odd

Can you elaborate on the plan and be more specific with the resistance you need?

I'm suffering from electrical noise with my MS. Following http://www.extraefi.co.uk/resets.htm I'm effectively converting my low
impedance injectors to high impedance ones. They currently measure 2.7 ohms. ExtraEFI site says 3 to 6 ohms, megamanual defines high impedance as
> 10 ohm, so I'm aiming for somewhere between 6 and 10 ohms.

I had to do the same on my first mega squirt installation, I used some resistors from RS and didn't think they were very dear.
Some older cars used a resistor pack for the same purpose maybe Volvos if I remember correctly.

I had a similar problem with omex plus ex cossy injectors which were low impedance. Tried the resistors but they still fired erraticaly above 4000
rpm. Eventualy bought sme secondhand high impedance injectors and problem gone.

On the advice of Phil Ringwood, I bought 4 25W 6.8ohm resistors from Farnell. I was a little aggrieved about the £20 min order, but I'm up a
new soldering iron now. Ordered 19:35 Monday night, they arrived 3pm Tuesday, I was impressed by that.
Finally got around to fitting them today and from some initial testing I haven't been able to provoke any odd spikes in my data logs. I'm
