Clever electronics buffs...

Replacing the gauges in my Camaro project, and the stock fuel gauge sender is 0 ohms empty and 90 ohms full (standard GM configuration.

You can get matching gauges, but they are expensive in comparison to others I have been looking at.

But I can get gauges that are the more common 33F/240E configuration a lot cheaper and in the style I want.

Is there any way to make the stock sensor work? I have been having a play about with the maths (resistors in series and parallel) with little success.

Thanks
