Wiring help needed

Ive got a robin hood 2b.
Used to have escort clocks fitted.
Just started today wiring the new dash set up in.
Got most of it working fine.
Oil pressure ,fuel gauge, water temp and all lighting fine
Not got rev counter fitted yet so dont know there yet
Indicator and main beam warning lights work fine.
But oil pressure lamp dont light up and battery light only comes on when its revved, when 1st fired up on tick over its out

The dash is all etb gauges with seperate round warning lamps, with all new senders.

Not checked the bulb in the oil yet as its too dark now but will tommorrow

Any ideas what to check 1st ?

Wire and check each circuit in turn is the simplest way.

Are they wired in series? If so, this should not happen. If not, I suspect a bad earth. It is a cliche perhaps, but I have found it is at least 99% of all my electrical issues I've ever had. Wires can come loose after a lot of fiddling - especially if they are crimped and not soldered. Just speaking from hard earned experience!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the oil light runs of an oil pressure switch not an oil pressure sender and switches earth.
So +12V to the bulb, other side to the pressure switch as it has one terminal which earths through the block
