Xflow Standard Dizzy to electronic ignition

Hi does anyone know the difference in the standard Distributor Lucas and motorcraft have recently changed my xflow engine the old engine had motorcraft and the newer has Lucas, but I want to change to electronic setup and they state that one is a replacement for Lucas and one for motorcraft, does it matter?

What are you fitting, Acuspark? or an electronic distributor?
Acuspark has different fitments for different distributors but are very easy to fit

Wouldn't have thought there would be any problems changing from one to the other as they are both driven off the cam which as far as I know didn't change the distributor drive gear at any time and the block didn't alter in the distributor area. Popular conversion used to be to fit a distributor, coil and associated wiring from a Valencia engined Fiesta
