Dash wiring question

Probably a very simple answer to this, but I want to check before starting.

I have various dash lights I want to wire in instead of using the sierra dash, do I just join them all to a common earth and take the feed from the relevant wire from the dash loom?

Could I do the same I'd I was to use but rehouse the original tacho?

Any pointers appreciated.

You may well find that most of them require a +ve supply and are actually earthed through the sender/engine block.

Only way is to work through each one in turn and work out how it works in the old loom.

Would the last person who leaves the country please switch off the lights and close the door!

The basic answer is no.........

the battery light is NOT earthed...neither is the oil light...
the indicator light if its only one is not earthed either but connected to either sides indicators, but if you have two they are earthed.....

This article will help you sort it all out..
