ZZR1400 fault codes
Reading the manual for ZZR1400, it always seems to refer to reading fault codes via the clocks (which we don't use & no longer have that
wiring either). I know there is a "service plug" on the engine wiring loom, does anybody know if fault codes can be read from here, if so
with what & how? Can't find any reference to this plug in the manual, but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place?
Or any other method of getting fault codes from the ecu???
Any help much appreciated
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

On the ZX12, the faults are read by connecting the dedicated wire to earth - it then flashed the fault codes on the F/I light - do you not still have
that wiring? I think it is a feed from the ECU from memory...

To use the earth out you still need the clocks, there is a diag plug which the dealer can use even if u fit the ECUto a working set up it wont display
codes as there will be no faults

so from the sound of things - no clocks means no diagnostics?
That's a pain!

Are you sure? As my clocks have the same stepper motor type drive for the tacho, which I believe is the way the OEM clocks display their errors. I
might give it a try - what is the procedure...? Ground the yellow wire, the switch on ignition?

Ive not tried grounding the wire i dont need to i have zzr14 clocks, where once the fault lamp is on you just press and hold both buttons to display
code then once fixed it erases itself
I think the code is displayed via can bus message, the code is displayed as a letter then two numbers on the lcd display(zzr14) 12 may b diffrent as
older
