Kill switch

Hi all, where do I splice into to fit a total electrical kill switch?
I know if I wanted to fit an engine kill switch I do it between red and yellow at the starter button.

Sure a 'total' kill switch needs to be on the battery? (Techincally with a bypass for hazard lights, if IVA/mot required?)

the national autograss folk (and no doubt other sports) have them on the outside on the wing for safety etc
i think they are done on the negative side of the battery feed

Time for a change!

An FIA type kill switch is normally fitted between the positive battery terminal and the main positive feed.

A bleed resistor is fitted to the auxilliary terminal to earth to protect the alternator when the kill switch is thrown with the engine running.

The other pair of auxillary terminals can be used to kill the ignition circuit to make sure the engine stops.
