R1 5jj clocks , with blackbird problems.

Hi, i have built a mx5 with a honda blackbird. I am using r1 5jj clocks and have a few problems with them, the speedo does not work although i have wired the blackbird speed sensor as per the wiring diagram, pink-speedo black-+12v and green-earth and into the yellow/blue on the r1 clocks, would fitting a speedo healer help? Or is the bladkbird speed signal no good for the r1 speedo? I also have a problem with the oil level light which i have wired to the blackbird oil pressure switch, which earths out until oil pressure is present, the oil light comes on with the ignition then goes out when the engine starts, then comes back on when a gear is selected, also the neutral light works as it should until the engine is started then it stops working, i have changed the switch in the gearbox and it has made no differance, i have also got a problem with the rev counter first of all it did not work from the tacho wire from the blackbird cdi unit, so i wired it into the negative of one the coils, which has made the rev counter work but only at half speed, but i think i have found a cure for this from a post on this forum which shows how to build a circuit with 3 diodes using a feed from both coils. Am i trying to do the imposable using these clocks? If so what can i use except the blackbird clocks as they are very big and will not fit in the mx5.
