Pinto Battery

Hi All.

I know there have been quite a few posts about this , but still not exactly sure of what battery to fit. The battery needs to be a race type , ie Red Top etc as it needs to be mounted on its side in the passenger compartment. The engine is 2l and 10.5:1 cr. It does have an edge 40 amp alternator and an edge reduction geared starter motor. The car is generally used for hill climb events so I am really only concerned about starting. I have looked at both Red top 25 and Odessey 680. I think that the Odessey would be the one. The spec is below. I am not that strong on electrics so if anybody could offer some advice it would be a big help before I buy. I can also fit an Anderson plug for just in case on cold mornings. The car is in the modified production road going class, so must normally be able to start from an onboard battery. I am fitting a Mega Jolt so could keep it quite retarded at say up to 1000rpm , which presumably would make easier starting ?
