What thread is this?
A temp sensor of unknown origin. It measures 3/8" over the threads and has 28 tpi. Doesn't seem to be BSP or NPT.
?

Could it actually be 3/8ths x 28tpi??
What is it from? Is it the correct male thread? Did you have trouble getting it out?

Could it be 1/8" BSP.
That would be 0.383 Dia x 28 TPI.

Displaying my fundamental lack of knowledge, why would a 1/8" thread be over 3/8" across?
ETA - There are a bunch of sensors that are 1/8" BSP, I just thought that this was 3/8"
Yes it is a bit knackered, and deserves to be for the grief it has given me!

I would have said 3/8" UNF off the cuff but that would be 24 tpi.
Sure it's 28 tpi?

Because BSP sizes relate to the hole up the middle of the pipe not the outside diameter.... It causes much confusion.

Gah!
I am confident that it is 1/8 BSP then given the number of other similar sensors I've seen with that thread.
