What Wiring Loom Tape
As above, whats the best tape for wiring looms, is it good old insulating tape or the fabric Tessa tape that comes on the German cars. Is being able
to breathe a good or a bad thing or is sealed and fully waterproof better.

self amalgamating is quite good as it leaves no sticky residue. certainly shouldnt need to be waterproof as the insulation should take care of that,
its just good for keeping it neat and tidy. if you do want to keep it more sealed some flexible conduit with heat shrink at either end.

Don't use electricians' insulating tape. The sticky oozes and the backing hardens with heat.
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

I'm finding that with my donor's loom. The alarm was fitted with at least two rolls of the stuff, and it's made the whole thing
really manky and hard to work with. I might have to try mopping it up with IPA or something before I look at splitting it.
