Have a read of the IVA manual; specifically the angles of visability bit.
Current interpretation seems to be that if they're on the side or scuttle pannels, then the rear wings obscure them (specifically the 5'
downward angle from the rear bit). Most are passing either fitted to the front or rear arch edges. If you go for the rear, check the max'
distance from the front requirement isn't exceded.

Mine are on the rear arches, but beware there is a max distance from the front of the car which my IVA examiner checked very carefully. His
reccomendation was to put them on the back of the front cycle wings, as being on the rear arches they may meet the rule, but if on the front the
passing driver can see them later.

hi ! I think that Pstirz on here passed with his side repeaters mounted on the side of his scuttle . If you look in his photo archive you will see the

side indicators
Hi
same as Johnemms, was told by our examiner to put them on the rear arches
having failed our first IVA.
Did in fact ask him if they would be ok on the scuttle ,
His reply was yes if you want it to fail again !.
items failed
Also failed on the choke cable knob , it was ok for radius , but his testing ball
has a retractable eye socket & it went in that , I could not believe it .
removed it for IVA , put it back on after.
Good luck
