Sierra stalk/ dipped headlight problems
Hi all,
I've had my Rush on the road for the past 10years, but recently I've had problems with the headlights. I can get sidelights, but unable to
get dipped beam or main beam, although I can use the flash facility on the the stalk. Currently I'm checking the loom (a Premier one) for
faults, the relays are fine. I was wondering do the sierra stalks suffers faults and what is the best way to test them, I have done a search but
couldn't find anything that related.
Thanks in advance
Leigh

I've had problems a couple of times with the dipped beam switch (and the sidelights as it happens), mainly after sitting unused for some time.
Each time a squirt of switch cleaner into the switch and switching it on and off repeatedly has cured it. A dose of an electrical lubricant afterwards
is a good idea.

Cheers Steve, will give this a go, as it happens the car has been off the road for the winter months.

It it is the early stalk, with the square hazard switch the contacts wear badly as they originally had no relays so had full current going through
them, now 30 years old too!
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

It's the later stalk - the one with the round hazard, though they're getting on as well.
