Spark problem (help) ms2
I have lost spark on 1 and 4 plug, i have checked both sides of coil and they check out the same. 1.0 ohm.
when car is running the driver lights on the ecu are both flashing, i also have 12 volts on both sides of the LT side of coils. Do i change coil pack
or ing drivers.

swap the two trigger wires on the coil pack plug. (outer two on a ford coil middle is live feed) and see if the spark works on 1&4 and stops on
2&3.
if the problem moves to 2&3 then its the driver if it stays the same its the coil.
what drivers are you running in the ms? bip 373's are virtually impossible to kill.

chances are it will be the coil then. 373's are near impossible to kill.

look on extra efi to see how its wired
http://www.extraefi.co.uk/Drawings/PDF_Files/4cy_Coil_Pack.pdf
you need to swap the blue and the grey wires.
also did you build your ecu yourself?
if you did and have used spr4 as the second output from the second bip 373 did you beef up the circuit board track? the track is a little bit on the
thin side for the ignition output and can burn through. it may be wise to unscrew the map sensor bend it out the way and check the track is ok and
beef it up with an extra bit of wire if its not already done .

also have you checked your dwell settings on the ignition. for the ford coil it should be about 3.6mS running and 6.0mS cranking. if its too high
you risk killing either the coil or one of the ignition drivers. vb921's were pretty easy to over heat and kill if you have the dwell up too
high, the bip 373's are much harder to overheat and kill but its still possible if your heat sink isnt good enough or you running mega amounts
of dwell.
again a good guide on extra efi for setting/checking the dwell http://www.extraefi.co.uk/dwell.htm
