Oil/Fuel pressure gauge ?

Anyone had any experience with using a cheap oil pressure gauge for monitoring fuel pressure. Something like this -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00H8L89B6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2LC4P8PAKYIP

Injection fuel pressure should be about 2.7bar = 40psi so in the middle of the range.

Have read that petrol can corrode some oil pressure sensors, any thoughts ?

See this thread http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=192927 - I've got one of these which I'll be plumbing in once I've got the necessary hose fittings. Obviously displaying the output will be tricky unless you have a data logger or something.

Will report back on how it works but I'm sure it will be fine - it's just a strain gauge attached to a bit of metal which deflects under pressure, presumably the electric bits never see the fuel.

Many thanks for the link, for a tad over a tenner I think I will give it a go and remove it after a couple of months to see what it looks like.
