Dash Switches
Im going through the process of re-designing my dash at the moment and have a couple of questions?
First is a possible silly question... Do you guys have switches for ignition and/or the fuel pump?
Second is do you use an inertia switch for the fuel pump?
The car does use an FIA battery cut off switch in reach of the driver. It is mainly for trackday and sprint use but has be usable on the road.

I have a separate switch for fuel pump, starter and ignition, as well as a key switch for overall control. If you can get an inertia controlled switch
for your fuel pump, definitely fit it - it's mandatory for road cars with fuel injection incase there's a rupture of a pipe post the pump
- you don't want it hosing everything down at massive pressures.
I have mine mounted on the transmission tunnel al-la saab. It made sense to put them there.
Separate control of the fuel pump is handy when on the rolling road (more so if you have carbs) when the engineer wants to empty the system of fuel. I
remember Dave Bogg wanting my carbs empty to make some adjustments, and all we needed to do was run the engine with pump switched off until it
starved.
Also, more switches are cool. I have my fuel pump under a red flip-top protective cover thingy as well, so turning it on is a deliberate act. It can
also be turned off by knocking the cover, which is how the switches are configured in some aircraft - palming down turns everything off.
When all you have is a hammer, everything around you is a nail.

I agree with the above, more switches are cool. I don't have a fuel pump cut off switch but I wish I had wired one in. When testing the
electrics and wiring the car it is very annoying to have the fuel pump going brrrrrrrrrrrrrr in the background. I have got a inertia switch which I
used to turn the fuel pump off.
I might even wire one in has I have left switches on the dash that are so far unused. Who in their right mind doesn't love a Doomsday switch?

We need to go further. As well as "doomsday", I want to go the full John Pertwee, and have a "reverse the polarity of the neutron
flow" switch as well.

You are 100% correct
I originally wanted a fuel cut off after reading a couple of horror stories on here about ruptured lines and fires. But it's also cool, even
the IVA man thought so. And as said above, it is genuinely useful when sorting out the wiring etc.
But mostly it just makes you feel like a fighter pilot
