Airbag warning
Hi folks
Not strictly locost so apologies but with the LCB knowledge base I am hoping someone might be able to help.
My son has changed the seats on his fiat grande punto for some aftermarket ones. The OEM seats had airbags whereas the new ones don't the result
is an airbag warning.
Mot approaching and I think thus is a fail.
Anyone know if a resistor or similar can be used to fool the ECU into thinking the airbags are still there?
Unfortunately my son got rid of his old seats so can't swap back
Any help much appreciated
Cheers
Jim

Normal 200 ohm ressistors are all that is required be aware there could be insurance implications.

That's great thanks guys
It is not for the main steering wheel and dash airbag just the seat ones.

It will still be a problem insurance wise, IF, they ever need to investigate. Non standard seats will invalidate insurance should there EVER be a
claim.

As with any mod, they will need to be declared.

It has been declared surprisingly the insurance company was okay with this along with the full list of the other mods. Just wanted money.
