2 pin and 3 pin indicator relays

I've just bought one of the cbs fuse box, relay, wiring module things, hopefully I'll be able to connect it up easier than all the seperate stuff I had!

It comes with a 2 pin flasher relay, for standard bulbs. All of mine are led. Ive already got an led flasher but its 3 pin?
Whats the 3rd pin actually for? Can it replace the 2 pin one?
Is the 3rd pin for a 'common' indicator warning light? I'll have left and right warning lights

A new relay isnt expensive, I know, but would rather use what I've already got if I can

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
