alternator fault
I have an alternator that does not charge the battery measured same voltage as battery on the output terminal but on the teminal for the change light
is 15 volt anyone know why this happening and what is wrong.

Yes comes on then goes off.

What type of alternator is it ? If is the Lucas-Mangneti Marelli A127 used on the earlier K series changing the alternator regulator complete with
brushes is a 10 minute job.

That could be either Denso or Lucas-Mangneti Marelli both are diy rebuildable provided you have a decent sized soldering iron there is an Irish
seller on eBay sells all the bits cheaply and has instructional videos on YouTube.

Is a Lucas-Mangneti Marelli have blown it out with compressed air and refitted and now wrking.
May take a look for the parts on e bay.
