Alternative Fuel Gauges...
I'm putting together a dashboard using a Pi / Cosworth instrument. It's a pretty comprehensive unit - the only thing that's missing
is a fuel level gauge.
I currently have a traditional VDO electronic gauge, but was looking to replace it with something a little more contemporary - perhaps a series of
small LED's which extinguish as the level drops?
Has anyone rigged something along these lines, or can perhaps provide some pointers as to how to go about it.
Cheers

If you want to DIY, then the LM3914 integrated circuit is ideal. One chip, a bunch of LEDs and a handful of resistors and you're done.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I built a single LED fuel gauge for chris-p-duck a few years back. It would change from green, to yellow to red and then flashing red at thresholds
that were calibrated when you installed it. Useful for a minimalist dashboard!
I may still have the design files and code if anyone is interested.
