Wtd Rover V8 Engine - but cheap

I'm looking for a cheap RV8 motor, in preparation for a future project.

I don't know what the project will be, but it will involve an RV8 hooked up to a modern manual box.

A generally worn out motor will do, as long as it hasn't thrown rods through the crankcase or similar.

Cheap is more important than condition at this stage, so if you're falling over one at the bottom of your garden and want to turn it into a little cash......

Cheers.

Pete.

mistake

you appear to have made a mistake
what you actually want is a Chevy LS7 engine
for the price of an old rover v8

I have all the bits to build one in my shed.

Believed to be a ex TVR 3.9 engine with heads to fit, crank, rods, Pistons, inlet manifold, pair of SU carbs & sump.

If you have the hands to build it i don't have a need for the bits anymore so handy money will collect them.

One problem maybe be location as I'm N.Ireland Based but can pallet bits up.

I have one sitting on a frame wired up to run. With lt77 5 speed attached.

Its a 3.5 inj taken from a SD1. I was going to use it in my build (v5 available) but then a twin plenum tom walkenshaw came my way.

I'm now using a new 4.6 V8 developments so both the above are no longer needed. Make me an offer if your interested.

I've got a Rv8 block in the garage that I used for a sizing exercise.

no inlet stuff.

I would say it would need a rebuild. I was told it was from a running range rover. I think it is a 3.9.

I'm in New Malden, KT3 3EB.

Any use for anyone?
