Wiring a Smiths RVC rev counter

Managed to get this cheap on fleabay

but struggled to find out how to wire it up for coil/dizzy. Sussed it eventually but the web/google wasn't massively helpful. so here's the back

rev counter rear
rev counter rear

A = connect to the -ve side of the coil (side that goes to distributor)
B = connect to the +ve side of the coil
C = ground

That works for me anyway

Thanks alfas, yes I found that diagram, and lots of other similar ones, but it doesn't relate to whats on the back of the tacho, so I eventually worked it out by trial and error

Correct wiring is

A - points side of coil.
B - switched live
C - ground

Coil + is switched live, so you'll be ok.
