MX5 build - Clutch switch / custom ecu
Im building my Locost using an mx5 donor. If i use a custom ecu (Megasquirt or similar) would i need to wire the clutch pedal switch to the custom
ecu? or is the clutch switch purely for the mx5 ecu's benefit?

You could do, in order to get launch control and flat shifting, but there's no requirement for a clutch switch to run an engine.

Thanks coyoteboy. That could make the build a bit neater

While your at it there is a neutral switch on the side of the gearbox and if using the std ecu it gives an "anti stall" function to the
ecu which revs the engine slightly when you pic it in gear. I earth said wire so no issue (2003) ecu although some others reported the same
remember we are not mad just creatively insane !!!!!
