Acewell 7659 speedo magnet
Evening,
Just getting the Acewell dash set up on my f27 with a 2.0 Zetec fitted.
The dash came with a speedo sensor, it looks like a thread with 2 nuts and a small magnet.
What's the best way to fit this? Is this the right sensor for car application?
Also, I've set the tacho up and it is reading a signal. What setting should it be on?
Thanks
Liam

The magnet needs to be fixed/glued onto something that turns when the car is moving.
Mine is a Koso so does not use a magnet,I've made a bracket up so it reads the 6 bolts that hold the driveshaft to the diff.
Does it not state in the instructions what setting to use for different types of ignition for the tacho?

Ok, I think I'll make a bracket up for it then.
No specific setup instructions...

Description
That's how I mounted mine on rear.
I think the main issue with the magnet types is keeping them stuck onto the propshaft/driveshaft etc

For my Acewell I removed some paint from the inner driveshaft CV housing casing and stuck the magnet on with Araldite. Then made a bracket to mount
the sender from one one of the unused diff bolts. Has worked fine for around 20k miles.

For the Tacho you need to know for your engine type how many pulses there are for each revolution of the engine. For mine the Zetec it's 2
pulses per revolution. This is then input into the setup, if you don't have the manual you can download it from their website and that has the
details of how to setup each function - EDIT -available here.
Details of how to fit the speed sensor also on my build page
