Ford TFI ignition

Hi all

I'm gathering info on a future throttle body/efi upgrade for my pinto

I've hit a snag with my dizzy, i'm planning on using a megasquirt n spark and tfi dizzy from an injection sierra.

Anyone done anything like this before?

Adrian,

Have you considered ditching the dizzy and going with the flow EDIS style?. I ran this on a pinto early last year. Have a look in my photo section - towards the end. As per the avatar, I'm about to fire up on MsnS-extra^2 (home brew extra mods for Duratec).

Cheers,

Colin

Supposedly the MSnSE is setup for TFI.

Have you seen the details here

Get a toothed wheel made up that will fit on the front crank pulley. Then just fab up a bracket for a sensor.

Bill Shurvington has these for Crossflows ; I'm sure it'll be possible to adapt one to a Pinto.
