Voltage conditioning unit?

Can someone tell me what I need to fit to stop my guages from fluctuating with engine revs? I understand that there are units that connect to the power feed to the guages to stop them from receiving a varying signal when the engine is running, but I don't know what they are called.

If any one can recommend any products I would be grateful.

Many thanks

James

Yep, voltage regulator, used in many, slightly older cars.

My Opel Manta experience has taught me a lot about how easily they pack in!!!!!!!!

Here's a link on how to make one in the best "locost" traditions!

PS do some searches for getting the fixed voltage one, nice and simple but RS don't do the component, Texas Instruments make it and DigiKey sell it though.
