luego clocks

we have almost wired in all the dash but we have a few problems...

1) the oil pressure clock. We have the ingition feed, and the eatch feed on the clock all wired in. We have yet to wire in the "T" connector ( to the pressure gauge ) but whenwe put the igniton on, the oil pressure jumps right to the top or the gauge...

any ideas?

2) the fuel level gauge seems horrible slow to respond ( in fact, they all seem faily slow ). Is this common?

Cheers ears.

Yes, I had a T-piece made and then connected the original pressure switch and the sender to it.
I initially started the car before connecting the sender to the gauge and like you said the needle went straight to the top. Then after connecting them together and starting the car the gauge initially went to the top but then back down.
