ZX12R Neutral Overide
On my electrical diagram the part which indicates the wires into the diode block are missing due to it being on the crack of the page. This and the
fact that I'm a bit flumoxed by it leads me to asking you all this question.
What wires do I need to short out and bypass to get the engine fired up when NOT in neutral... it'll fire up when in neutral but not when in
gear with clutch in... which we will need if stalled in gear.
Any help on this would be very appreciated. TIA Steve

pfff
its an very easy one steve....
like written on many topics (here) before..but will do it agian..
you can start your engine in gear if you push also the clutch switch...
join those cables.. and you can start it while in gear...
as always stated by me i would hard wire nothing of the loom...
(no not the neutral, not the clutch..)
electronics and chips are nothing compared by the old good tricks..
they can ruin your MCU//change mappings settings etc...
(we only know that the engine runs but in wich mode?? MCU are stil vage you don't what they think..)
for example to pass emission tests..
soo i would just mount some relais..etc to do the job...
or just mount the an switch on your clutch pedal..that would be the best option!
you would'n be the first one wo forget to push clutch when trying to start...

TKS as stated above the engine will not start with engine in gear and clutch in. Maybe I have done something wrong? Could anyone tell me the colour of
the wires I need to connect...

Hellfire - Do not have the engine or diagram, but can you not pick the wire colours up from the actual neutral start switch which should be located on
the gearbox. This is normally close to the shift lever as it normally work on the lever itself or goes through the casing to the shift rail/cam
plate.
Not the answer you were looking for but it may help.

in my bikeloom
what the clutch switch does are 2 things..
it gives massa to the starter relais...
that way i can start... and it also notice the MCU of it in that way..
Soow in fact there is one line called clutch switch wich switches to ground....
then another MCU cable is connected to that lead...
(that way the mCU can sense in wich state it is..)
should be simple hell fire
TKs
every bike you find can start when holding clutch..in every gear...always...
if you disable your N switch you will fuck** your mappings...
