Telemetrix Temp Guage

I am starting to wonder if my guage is reading high.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Are these guages any good/reliable?

car garages has

an infared / laser pointer temp meter..

compare the readings.

or search for data sheets and compara res values etc...
