misterieus blue plug

Today I was busy to fit the wiring loom into my car. And I found an misterieus blue plug.
The wiring loom is from an 1987/1988 Ford Sierra 2.0 injected sohc.

Where must it plugd into??? Does someone know.

The brown/yellow wire connects with pin 57 on the EECIV ECU. The brown wire is an common earth link. I have the Haynes Ford Sierra 4 cyl. Service and Repair Manual but there is no connection pin 57 in the wiring diagrams.
Should this blue plug have to do with an ABS system?

Roy.

And yes, the engine, speedo and rpm limit are running.

Pin 57 on the EECIV connector looks like the main 12V common feed for injectors on the diagram in my Haynes manual.

The closest candidates for your connector look like the flyback diode for the idle valve or the brake fluid level, but neither seem likely, sorry.

Cheers,

Colin
