Your favourite instruments
Looking for some nice instruments from my car - not interested in digital only readouts, had them before in a Digidash and found them a pain to read
compare to needles. Thought happy with a combination of digital and analogue
I'm aware of the ones from ETB, Stack and Nordskog. I saw some very sexy ones in the Mustang on 'American Hot Rod' - kind of a
silver grey carbon faced dial.
Anyway, what are your favourite instruments? Any good recommendations? Will need 'Boost' and 'Air/Fuel' ratio as well to keep
an eye on things.

I tend to think that less is more and that for most people that a full set of gauges is more about the "Wank" factor . I'm using the
instrument cluster from my engine donor , speedo tacho temp amd fuel what more do you really need ?
Best wishes IAIN
life is not the rehearsal , it's the show so don't sit there thinking about it DO IT NOW

"wank factor" eh?
check out the gauges on this boat i saw at the top of lake garda! 4x100mm 12x52mm. it might have twin engines, but come on.
as for car gauges, i really like the look of racetech mechanical gauges, but it's a pretty limited range, and they'd have to be
mechanical.

If your running boost as you say you should also have a fuel pressure gauge visable from the cockpit, air charge temp gauge is also a good thing.

Smiths! There are a couple of houses building them in the US; how about there?
VDO and Greengauges, too. I like the classics.

A full range Of VDO from low tension - they have deals if you buy the kit .
Of course if your doing any tuning yourself , a wideband is better than a narrow band .

hmmmmmmm, none at all for me!
What does a gauge tell you????
That something is either right or wrong, or good or bad.
A light can do that cheaper and you'll see it straight away. Need to know display, I look at the road not at gauges.
I have a "high pressure" low oil press light that comes on at 30psi.
A high water temp light that comes on at an adjustable temperature
Sequential shift light instead of rev counter.
All the SVA required lights
Bike speedo
Job done.

I will definitely be having some nice big bright warning lights and shift lights too - liked them on the Digidash.
