Sierra Steering Column Switch Gear

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me.. I am putting together a Luego Viento, and using a sierra steering column. My problem is this:

The pin numbers that my wiring loom says does not match (all) of the numbers on the switch gear on the steering column.

I am told that there are two versions of the switch gear, one with a square hazard switch, and one with a circular one.

I have the switch gear with circular, and the loom (I believe) is made for the "square hazard" switch gear.

Does anyone out there have a pin mappings / conversion sheet to show which pins on the new switch gear I could use?

Many thanks in advance,

Stuart.

Can't remember the actual pin numbers, but your only problem is sorting out which type of switching you have , ie: 83bg or 87 bg, one is switched earth, the other isn't !! will have a look at the disructions i have , by the way, what loom are you using? as with this info, it can make it easier for people to give you advice

As from Premier loom

87BG (switched earth) Brown h/lamp flash other wires as above

Hope this helps

The switch gear will be stamped with the code for which ever application it is, that will help, that and the cable colours that you have in the loom ready for the switch gear connections

So... has anyone got a PIN Pattern, and function for each of the pins on the back of the various versions of switch gear

BG83 - switched live
BG 87 & 90 - switched earth

If anyone can supply these - I will put a matrix together, and post back up to this forum. If you want to e-mail me directly, please send to stuart.savill@net-user.org
