Cycle Wing Indicators

Are the indicators that mount on the top of cycle wings (caterham/sylva) SVA OK - instead of the little sticky-out ones which people always have to extend!

If so, why don't more people fit them?

it adds to unsprung mass plus the wings/brackets are prone to breaking even without any extra weight!

Neil fitted some nice carbon fibre look ones to his Mac#1 and it passed o.k. They weigh f**k all so I wouldn't worry too much about them affecting the handling or stressing the brackets. Getting the wire to them's the only drawback. Rescued attachment combiview.jpg

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Hmm, they look pretty fly. I like them, 'specially as I'm planning on an orange/black colour scheme.

I have also been toying with the idea of glowy orange strips along the leading edge of the front wings and trailing edge of the back, as a kind of position indicator / running lights / bling bling thing. the kind you get for modding PCs.

Groovy

They are dead groovy , I copied the idea 5years ago from a Sylva Mojo, saves having to worry about wiring when you want to flip the nosecone off.............
