Pinto Dizzys

Does anybody know whether the dizzy cap for a 1.6 sohc pinto is the same as the dizzy cap for a 2.0l??

Yeah I know theyve both got 4 ht leads connected to them, and both Bosches will fit but are the internals different.

I know that the rotor arms ARE different.

I worked on Transits with Pintos for years and do not remember the dizzy caps being different, Try going on a motor factors web site and do a search for both engines and see if the part numbers sre the same.

Don't forget there are two types of pinto dizzy - Bosch (red/brown cap) and motorcraft (Black cap) and as far as I know the 1.6 and 2.0 are the same.

Cheers
