Mudflaps

Just fitted mudflaps after getting soaked the other week from spray. Went to the local motor factors who didn't have any, but suggested a commercial vehicle specialist.

1 lorry mudflap (looks like it is made from recycled tyres) for about £7, cut out and bolted on. Rescued attachment 2005-11-12 Mudflaps.jpg

Locost tip.

You sometimes find them at the side of the road near industrial estates where the lorries reverse and trap them against the kerb so the tyre rips them off. I have one with anti-spray bristles on the back for a doormat.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

My local race shop sells mudflaps made from polyurethane sheet for about the same price as many small cars.
The exact same PU sheet can be bought from any plastics outlet for a fraction of the cost - litterally acouple of zeros less!
It is virtually indestructible and available in loads of colours including the garish colours the rally boys like.

Cheers, Rorty.
