IIRC: 2 wires, one insulated (red?) is your +ve feed, the other goes to the terminal on the sender (which is the variable resistance to ground) - you
do have the sender?

thats what i would expect too, a fused live feed (live when ignition on) and ground too sender, earthing the wire too the sender should i would guess
give a max oil pressure reading.

If it has a third terminal this will probably be a feed for a warning light.

Thanks for looking guys, sorry been away for weekend ...
The sender has 2 terminals marked
W.L./G. and S.
and the Gauge has 3 terminals
+ , - and S. (plus the Light of course, not a problem!)
now S. obviously goes to S. but how exactly do the others fit
cheers

I think I may have the original instructions for a Tim oil guage,I'll scout around the garage in a while, once the heater has warmed
up.BRRRR!!
I converted my capillary gauge to an electric one earlier in the year.
Once I've finished a project why do I start another?
