Under dash to back of car???
Hi,
Just trying to work out how many wires I need to go to the back of the car from under the dash.
I have a nicely rubber insulated 7 core cable which I want to utilize.
I think I can get away with 7 cables:
1 for rear lights +ve
1 for rear brakes +ve
2 for indicators +ve
1 for fog light +ve
1 for fuel pump +ve
1 for fuel tank sender +ve
All negatives will be wired together and earthed at the back of the car.
The number plate light runs off the rear lights so no cable needed there.
Am I missing anything???

Using blade engine so no reverse.
Handbrake is vertical up against the dash.
Speedo sensor will be in the engine bay.
Anything else?

Damn - forgot the handbrake switch..........
I also have 2 rear sidelight wires - trailer wiring practice, I've not seen mandatory requirements anywhere

You don't have to have a handbrake warning light and it's not wired to the rear anyway. I'd run the fuel pump on a separate wire a
bit heavier than the lighting cable.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Still sticking with my 7 unless anyone else knows why not.
My rear lights were on one cable both on my Tiger supplied loom and on the Premier loom.

no, but you have to be able to prove the fluid warning light works from the cockpit ??

So wire it to earth through a switch on the dash, old Minis use a rocker switch with a light in.

I would dito running the fuel pump in at least 1.5mm. If you really wanted to scrimp 0.75mm would just cover an average injection pump.

It's only a low pressure carb pump and cable is from an old tow bar so will be moer than up to the job.
