wiper wiring ????
seems to have been 'kinda' covered a few times but with no real conclusive answer, does anybody out there have or know of an 'idiot
proof' wiring diagram for this including relays etc??
pretty little pictures are always appreciated
p.s. its all standard ford stuff am trying to use apart from the loom it home made
cheers in advance

I've just finished doing just that with my Sierra switches. The only thing I couldn't figure out was the intermittent setting so I'm
having to settle for two speeds. I can post a diagram if it helps. You don't need a relay in that case.

I think voodoo helps with wiper wiring but my spells are a bit rusty
I'll have a dig around and see what I can find.

Here you go ... a bit basic but it helped me. I know it doesn't show any delay circuitry but I had tried for HOURS to get the damn thing to
co-operate and just couldn't get the parking to kick in when on the intermittent position. I even tried to get a Maplin 'delay robot'
circuit to take the place of the delay relay but the parking still didn't want to play
So I went back to basics and decided that a wiper delay was frivolous and unneccessary anyway

I meant to ask - did you get the intermittent setting working?

Thanks Dusty I was wondering where that drawing came from! Full credit goes to you then
I'll have to find another timer (coz my one exploded ) and have another go next weekend.
Are the 'variable controller' and 'intermittent relay' special part numbers? Only my timer has 4 connections IIRC
The problem seems to be in the park circuit - I can get the timer to 'kick' the main relay but it just won't park in the
intermittent position.

Sounds like a faulty relay. If it parks in the normal switch off position it should park on intermittent. The critical wire is for parking is the Bn/W
that links 31B on the motor,B1 on the switch and 31B1 on the int relay. 53A on the motor and 54 on the switch must have ignition power supply
(Bk/V).
Four wire int relay simply omits the P connector and variable control. Numbering and connections are otherwise the same.
I used the variable control and relay that came with my sierra.
Good luck
