hayabusa starter solenoid

Does anyone know if i can use a different solenoid than the suzuki item as it was missing when i bought the engine and now ive come to look at the loom it has a four pin plug which aparantley kicks the fuel pump in aswell...........?

Any ideas before i hav to go to my suzuki dealer as the breakers wont sell me one seperatley

Can you not go back to the place/person you bought your engine from? Or have you tried that already without success?

Dunno if it helps but I fitted a standard car solenoid to my XS1100, no fuel pump though. You could probably set up a relay from the ign to control your pump.

Tried that one, he must have thrown it out!

As for using a car solenoid i had thought of that but im getting the wiring diagram to see what the other 3 wires go to exactly and try a frig a soloution!!
But there is probably a unit on something else which does the same thing.???
