Radio aerial?

In a fibreglass car it is probably not neccessary to have a conventional aerial connected to the head unit. What are the alternatives?

I was wondering if an aerial needs a ground plane to work properly. If not I could put a length of wire into the glass fibre away from any chassis rails and connect to that.

Hi

I've fitted an aerial to my Stylus, fixed to the rear wing, no earthing required and i get very good reception, bought it from maplins
