standard wiring colours
I need to extend my bike loom to fit my car.
If i went to the scrappies and cut out the longest section of a car loom i can find, am i likely to come across a selection of the same coloured wires
as i have in my bike loom, which i can then use to extend the bike loom and keep everything correctly colour coded?
If so this has to be a cheaper way than ordering a few meters of evey coloured wire i need to extend.
Cheers

have fun mate youll be luck if you can match the yam colours
I personally wouldnt bother
prewire to check all works ok then just use solid colours
its only the lights that really need extending
and there only simple wires

As he says - you've no chance matching colours bike to car so you may as well just splice in your extender wire of equivalent capacity.

I used some old Sierra loom I had in the shed, when you wrap the new wiring you only see the ends so it's still the bike colour. Volvo estates
are a good source of long wire runs.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
