speed to sender

Hi.
I'm using Telemetrix Gauges.
The sender has two wires from it both Blue. (so iguess it doesn't matter which is which)

The wiring instructions for the wires from the speedo are as follows:
Green- Switched ignition (easy)

Brown/slate-Connect to harness reset switch or not used (not using)

Red-pull up/down (?)

Red/White-Illumination (easy)

Black-earth(easy)

White/Black- Speed signal input (hall ecu) (?)

Red/Blue- Speed signal input for low output senders (?)

Light green/Purple-Not used (not used)

I guess I connect one of the wires from the sender to Red/Blue.

But which one should the other connect to?

I used the red/blue to one of the wires on the speedo sender, and depending on the sender, the other wire to either a live, or an earth - whatever makes the reed click in the switch- if you listen to the switch when passing over a magnet, youll hear a clicking sound.
Hope to help

Tom

The link suppied by REDEYE states the following.

The electrical connections to the sensor should be made as follows:-

One wire should be connected to a switched positive supply, i.e. power should be off to the sensor when the ignition is off.

The second wire should be connected to the black and white wire on the harness supplied with the speedometer.

The CAI sensor can easily be tested for quality of signal, without the aid of special meters by connecting one wire to a positive supply and the other wire to a 12v bulb, which has an earth/ground connection. The bulb should illuminate if the sensor is working properly.
