Help C.V.T automatic transmision diy

building an trasmison i whas tinking of C.V.T but i cant find an how the thing works ,am using an elctric engen on 300 kg chasi and any transmision typ or do i nead it at all ? Any body that tryd some thing like that or knowes more than me :TANKS
