Speedo Healer Calibration

Hi all,

Have fitted a speedo healer since my previous post below:

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=42547

Still no reading on speedo when healer is disconnected.

With healer connected and put into test mode the speedo moves to 15mph and when you pass the magnets past the sensor the led lights up.

I am confused as to how i can find out the correction value when there is no reading on the speedo with the healer disconnected.

I am using a non lsd sierra diff and fireblade engine.

Can any one help if you can understand the above!!

Cheers Mike

Are you using the digital or the analogue speedo?
I have done exactly the same as you using gearbox sensor, driving analogue speedo through a yellowbox
I am using 8 magnets on the rear driveshaft. You have to get to within 2mm of the magnets with the sensor, quite tricky to get it that accurate but rigid enough to not bounce around.
Th sensor is wired as such
Black = +ve
Green = -ve
Pink = Signal to speedo.

If your spedo registers 15mph in test mode that does tend to suggest that side of things is working and the sensor signal is not getting to the device....

The signal is there because when you pass the magnet past the sensor the led lights up to indicate the signal.

Its the sensor from the gearbox

"Still no reading on speedo when healer is disconnected. "
Can you explain this a bit better or is it as next question?

Have you tried driving the speedo directly from the sensor? without the healer?
