All the stuff on the dash
Hello all
me again, as everyone was so helpful last time i have another question. im still pricing up kits and trying to decide who to go with and where to get
parts from .....
ATM im looking for all the stuff on the dash, so things like speero, Rev counter and temp guages...
I cant finda price on the MK site and westfield and tiger prices seem quite similar.
But are there alternatives that are cheaper, as its going to be a *locost* build? all the third party places ive found seem to want about 150 for a
speedo alone.
Thanx in advance
John

Remember that to pass the SVA you only need a working Speedo with odometer function, plus the warning lights (brake fluid level and hazard / indicator
tells and fog lamp).
Knowing how hard it is to pass the SVA at Newcastle I had a Bright6 Unit and the VR2 Veypor unit and no other dials for the test.
As far as I know people have passed using cycle computers, which can be had for around the £30 mark.
Rev counter, engine temp, oil temp, oil pressure, fuel gauge, volt meter etc can all come later, think of them as luxuries!

If you want locost use the Sierra dials - If you buy a dodnor car you get a free speedo, rev counter, fuel guage, temp guage and all the warning light
you need.
It's easy enough to cut it down and make it fit a homemade dash.

Go for a bike engine. You usually get all the necessary dials and gauges you'll need...........
